The Iran Birth Certificate is called a Shenasnameh which is issued by National Organization of Civil Registration. All births in Iran must be registered within 15 days of the birth. Late registrations are not allowed. When a birth is registered a birth book (SHEASNAMEH) is issued. The father is responsible for registering the birth and getting the birth book. A person’s gender does not appear on the birth book.
Iran Death Certificate
The Iran Death Certificate is called a Govahiye Fot which is issued by National Organization of Civil Registration. Late registrations are allowed. Family members and people who have legal permission can get a death certificate.
Iran Marriage Certificate
The Iran Marriage Certificate is called a Sanad-e aghd; Sanad Sanad-e ezdevaj which is issued by National Organization of Registration of Documents and Property (Sazman-e Sabt-e Asnad va Amlak-e Keshvar). When a couple in Iran get married, they are issued a marriage book. The marriage book is 18 pages.
Iran Divorce Certificate
The Iran Divorce Certificate is called Sanad-e Talagh where the issuing authority is National Organization of Registration of Documents and Property (Sazman-e Sabt-e Asnad va Amlak-e Keshvar).
Iran Identity Cards
The Iran Identity Card is called the کارت شناسائی ملی (National Identity card). The Iranian national identity card is compulsory for citizens and permanent residents, aged 15 and over.
Is Iran a member of the Hague Service Convention?
