Qatar Birth Certificate
The Qatar Birth Certificate is called a Birth Certificate (Shahadat Milaad) which is issued by Ministry of Public Health. Birth certificates are issued following the registration of birth in Qatar. Where a child has been born to unmarried, non-Qatar nationals, the Qatar authorities will not register the birth and the child will not have a Qatar birth certificate. Births are registered within 60 days, and the birth registrations are held on a central register.
Qatar Death Certificate
The Qatar Death Certificate is called a Death Certificate (Shahadat Wafat) which is issued by Ministry of Public Health. Death certificates are issued following the registration of death in Qatar. All deaths must be registered immediately. The certificates are stored on a central register and must be issued before a burial can take place.
Qatar Marriage Certificate
The Qatar Marriage Certificate is called a Marriage Contract (Aqqd Zawaj) which is issued by Initial Court. Marriage certificates are issued by both the Sharia court and the church in Qatar. Marriages are registered at the time of the marriage and the certificates will contain a stamp from the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Each establishment will hold their own record of marriages. The Qatar Divorce Certificate is called Document (Wathikkat Talaq) where the issuing authority is Initial Court.
Qatar Identity Cards
The Qatar Identity Card is called the Qatari ID Card. As of 2014 the government has issued a Qatari ID Card to every Qatari citizen and resident over the age of 15. There are currently two types of cards in use, the smart card can be used to identify in government websites as well as for easier access to the country.
