The Switzerland Marriage Certificate is called Eheschein (German); Acte de mariage (French); Atto di matrimonio (Italian) which is issued by Local cantonal officials: Zivilstandsbeamter (German); Officier de l'Etat Civil (French); Ufficiale dello Stato Civile (Italian). Marriages in Switzerland are recorded at the registry office and a certificate is issued at the time the marriage takes place.
